PART ONE

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all the readers of this column and may we all have a healthy, peaceful and joyous year.

Well the Christmas day is another memory with our families and friends, my little great-granddaughter Natalie Royer put the icing on the cake for most of us, she is 2 1/2 years old and cute as a button, full of energy, she had opened her gifts and played with them for about an hour and then she took the pretty Christmas bag and stood up in the bag and jumped like a bunny back and forth through the house, laughing and having lots of fun. She was quite the little entertainer for all of us.

The United Methodist Sunday School had a wonderful Christmas Pagent on the 21st of Dec. and many thanks to the Sunday School teachers Joanne Lanphear and Penny Lumbra and their helpers Judy Sorrell, Stacey St.Onge and Linda Carpenter and for those volunteering to help dress the children in their cute little outfits. Many thanks to all.

The Montgomery Historical Society celebrated "Candles and Carols" Sunday evening 12/28 with Andrew Massey conducting the music. There was not a big crowd but we all made a joyful noise as we sang out and then enjoyed refreshments. The fellowship hall was so beautifully decorated for the occasion, truly a master-piece, Thanks to Noella Mcgroarty and her helpers.

Gary and Darlene Marrier enjoyed a visit to their son Philip in Cape Coral, Florida, while there they competed in two archery tournaments. They shot in the Sunshine games at Fort Myers and took first in their class, the to Homestead, Fl. with their son to compete in the North American Field Archery Championship where we once again took first place.  It was a great time and very enjoyable. 12/08
