Our town is saddened by the death of Bob Cota this week, it’s a sad time for family and friends that have known the Cota family for many years. (Take comfort, those who love will be reunited in eternity.  Memories are the legacy of love) Too all family members of Bob, from all your friends and neighbors we send our deepest sympathy and love to you.  God Bless!!!

Today, 1/8 fifteen members of the Covered Bridges Garden Club met at the Black Lantern Inn for a Sunday brunch, just to keep in touch with one another, thanks to Marsha Phillips for making the arrangements. Winner’s of the drawing were Kaye Secord and Carol Kremer, each won a potted plant.    It seems good to have the Black Lantern Inn open again, under new management.

Sue Cherrier and John Wilson celebrated their family Christmas over the New Years weekend with eleven members coming to stay over and enjoyed Sue’s great cooking and opening of  gift’s.  They all had a good time, enjoyed a day at the new water park at Jay Peak.

Thanks to everyone that contributed to the “BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION”program this Fall.  Our most current earnings are $216.60!!  One plan is to use this money to offset the cost of new uniforms for our students.  Please continue to save, every little coupon is worth 10cents.  The children will soon be taking order for the “SUPER BOWL PIZZA FUNDRAISER, “  Again volunteers are needed to help to put the pizza’s together on February 3, if you can help give Ruth a call at the school 326-4618.  Note: School will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Day on January 16.

The Montgomery Recreation Department is seeking a boys coach for 3rd and 4th grade basketball.  Please call John Newton at 326-3902 if you are interested, or need more info.

50 Week Club winner’s for this past week were Dawn Reed and Jeannean Sylvester.

Happy Birthday to Caroline Daberer 1/16, Gila Domina & Justin Soule 1/17, Myles Deuso 1/19, Cooper O’Connell 1/20, Mike Elkins & Jeremy Martinson 1/21.
