     The Ladies 500 Card Club met at the home of Jeannette Sylvesters on Wednesday evening Jan. 9, to start off the new year, the high score went to Eva Lumbra, second highest score and door prize went to Therese Demar and most horses to Carmen Scott, subs for the evening were Maureen Tryhorn and Rita Tatro. The February meeting will be held at the home of Theresa Lamore on the 13th at 1 p.m.

     The Mountain Fiber Folk Shop and Studio has a number of winter classes being offfered to the Public. If you have an interest in knitting, intermediate crocheting, fiber-felting, knit or crochet with roving, please call the shop at 326-2092 for more info, there hours are Thursdays- Mondays 10-5.

     The Montgomery Historical Society will be featuring a new theme for this year's History Expo in Jun, on Montgomery's timber heritage, focusing on Montgomery's Atlas Plywood Company's three ply shipping container fabrication.  Anyone with pictures, info or memories to share, call Scott Perry at 326-3135.      The Elementary School children in grades 5-8 will be taking orders for PIZZA'S, please, place your order by February 1, children will have order forms by January 18,  Volunteers are needed to help make the pizza's and if you can help, call Ruth at 326-4618 and get signed up. Thanks!!!
