BRRRR! Anyone going out this morning had to dress warmly, as it was a brutal cold and just felt like it burned the skin.  I have a turtle fur scarf that I just swear by to keep the nippy cold off.  Its this brutal cold that works its way in and we can all feel its presence.  But should be warmer later in the week, seems like we are on a weather roller-coaster.

David Burns was out skiing  the Catamount Trail this past Saturday morning and came upon some big tracks, had no idea what they were from, and he stopped to check them out and then looked around and spotted a moose up under the trees.  He continued on his way and before he knew it the moose was following him, but seemed to mean no harm.  David just hollowered at it and it ran off in the woods.  But it was a bit scarey to look over your shoulder and have such a big animal following.  But it all ended well.   This was my first, of hearing about the Catamount Trails that runs 300 miles from the Canadian border through Vermont to the Massachusetts border. This is for cross-country skiing or snow-shoes. It is maintained by the members, they have a website www.catamounttrail.org if your are interested in checking it out.

The Ladies 500 Card Club met at the lovely home of Jeannette Sylvesters Jan. 11, everyone played their own game, no subs were needed, Evelyn Hart had high score, hostess Jeannette had second high and most horses went home with Connie McFarland.  Theresa Begnoche will host the February meeting.

The Enosburgh American Legion post, celebrated the life of Robert (Bob) Cota this past Saturday afternoon with his family and friends.   There was refreshments for everyone, the afternoon ended with a game of Texas-Holdem, which Bob enjoyed.  Marty Cota prepared a video of his father’s life for everyone to enjoy while memories were being shared.   God Bless them all!!!
