It’s always great when a story has a happy ending.  Randall a basset hound dog belonging to Ed and Maryann Woods of town decided to take a stroll on by himself this last Sunday 1/17 and wandered to far and became lost.  There were posters put out around town just in case he wandered into your yard.  The neighbors came to help search and night time came and Randall was not found but in the distance off in the  forest the bark of a dog could be heard.   Monday came and again neighbors heard the bark and tried to go in the direction but trees are thick and the sound effects are hard to locate in the deep forest.   But the bark continued and Ken Greco took off up the hill behind his home Monday afternoon and tried to go in the direction of the barking, no way would anyone think that Randall would have gone that far for a walk, once Ken got to the top of the steep ledges and hill , he looked down the embankment and there there was Randall stuck in the downed trees, unable to get out.   Ken made his way down and rescued him and lugged him down through the brush and almost became lost himself, but he came out above the St.Onge property and took Randall home where he was greeted with open arms.     Thank You Ken for bringing Randall safely home.  Our pets become a big part of our lives and are very special to us.
