     Our week ended with sad news, on Friday Birch Poirier was hurt in a skiing mishap and will be recuperating from his injuries, but is fast bouncing back, as children do. The United Methodist Sunday School made him a get well card and it was taken 'special delivery' to him after the Church service.  Birch was missed Friday evening at the Valentine's Dance, the Sunday School had planned, their were 28 young folks attending and all enjoyed a great evening with pizza, soda, chips and music. Thanks to Joanne Lanphear and Penny Lumbra for helping with this event. The children had decorated the Church dining hall with hearts. We are so blessed with the turnout of all the children and their friends.  The United Methodist Church family wishes to say a SPECIAL THANKS to Ian Machia, son of Kevin and Stephanie Machia for his part in staying with his friend Birch until help came. We can be most proud of a young adults.

     Winner's of the Montgomery Town Library raffle are Ed and Joan Grossman, drawn from the names of all our 2008 fund drive donors Ed and Joan won a two night stay at the beautiful Phineas Swann Bed and Breakfast in downtown Montgomery Center. The Library personnel thanks all its supporters!!

     The 50 week club winner's for the past two weeks are Suzanne Berkson, Evelyn Hart, Stuart Hammond and Wolfgang Schadinger.

     Looking ahead just a bit there will be a HAM DINNER at St.Isidore's Parish Hall on March 8, starting at 11:30a.m.

     The United Methodist Women will have a PANCAKE SUPPER on February 24, starting at 5 p.m. also monkey bread

     We have quite a few people suffering with the flu bug, recuperating from surgery, to all God Bless!!

     Last week I mentioned that Mrs. Trautner would like for the community to help in saving the Boxtop for Education, they are found on General Mills products, and each coupon can be redeemed for 10 cents each. That can add up fast if we all look for these products. Coupons can be given to a school child or one of the teachers. Lets do our part and see how much better we can do..to help.
