The Ladies 500 Club met at the home of Evelyn Hart Wednesday afternoon 2/8 and had a great time with those cards some had great hands and others wished they had...high score went to Therese Demar, second high Linda VanGieson, most horses went to Connie McFarland, door prize to Lorraine Gillis, and Therese B. kept smiling after not winning anything.. Lois Lumbra was sub for Jo Cota. The March meeting will be at Denise Baker's on the 15th.

The 50 Week Club winners were Bob Boucher and Jo Cota.

The Covered Bridges Garden Club had a good turn out at their February meeting 2/8, President Winston Lewis opened the meeting at 6:30 and welcomed everyone. There will be no charge to anyone that would like to attend our meetings, there had been a $3.00 fee. Carol McGregor gave an update on the Committee's idea's and changes of the barrels that have been placed around town. Dates to remember, June 10 the Annual Meeting that was held in the Comstock Covered Bridge will be held at the home of Marshia Phillips, the planting of the barrels and potluck will be included on this day. There is a House and Garden Tour being planned for July 16..Diane Bocian, Lois Babbitt and Sue Peters are our chairpersons.  Our guest Jim Young from Spates Florist in Newport gave a wonderful presentation on Shrubs..the new varieties for this area and how to plant and maintain great shrubs.  Delicious refreshments were enjoyed with a Valentine decorated table and goodies that matched the holiday. The 3 raffle prizes were won by Sharon Perry, Sally Newton and Annette Goyne. Our next meeting will be March 15 with member Sharon Zecchinelli showing her slides from her trip to England.

The Elementary School Super Bowl Pizza Fundraiser was a great success and we wish to Thank everyone that came to make the 600 pizza's and to all that made purchases. The 5-8 graders will benefit $2000. for their field trips.

Jake Webster his wife Michelle Legault and her parents Maurice and Paulette Legault have returned home after spending a few days visiting Dad/Grandfather Gerard St. Pierre of Orange City, Florida. They all got time for relaxation and fun.

Happy Birthday to Kalisha Brooks and Jake Webster 2/22, Roland Baker 2/23, Morgan Daybell, Bernie Cousino, Dale Delisle and Gracie Lanphear 2/24, Mitchell Demar 2/25.
