  The Covered Bridges Garden Club cancelled out their meeting of 2/13 and has rescheduled for 2/21 at the Town Public Safety Building/ Conference Room at 6:30 p.m. The same presentation by Heather Jerett, Trial Garden Coordinator of Highmowing seeds, remember to bring seeds if you have some xtra's and she will have seeds that we can purchase at 20% off.

  The Ladies 500 Card Club met on 2/13 at the lovely home of Theresa Lamore, what a snowy afternoon I think most of us would like to have cuddled up on our couches and had a long winter's nap, but through all the yawns the card were dealt and the high score went to Carmen Scott, second high to Theresa Lamore, most horses to Denise Baker and door prize was won by Connie McFarland. Subs were Rita Tatro, Maureen Tryhorn and Lois Lumbra. The March meeting will be held at the home of Denise Baker 3/12.

  Success by Six Winter Festival at Hazen's Notch on Saturday, Feb. 23, starting at 10 a.m. for info call 326-2104.

  February Vacation Day Camp will be held at Hazen's Notch on Tues, Wed. and Thurs. 2/26-28.  For info call 326-4799. Lots of fun activities are planned.

  March 10, There will be a presentation sponsored by the Montgomey Library and Champlain Valley Agency on Aging, "Learn Basic Info About Medicare", presented by Gail Ireland, CVAA state health insurance program coordinator. Come, ask questions about things that you have on your mind starts at 4 p.m. at the Library. Refreshments. (Courier personnel this event can be omitted if to much)

  We have all heard the news by now the sudden death of Chris DuRona, we extend our deepest heartfelt Sympathy to her son Jesse and all her family and friends. The Memorial held at the Town Hall was over-flowing with friends who came to extend sympathy to son Jesse, and speak of memories of his Mother.

  We extend our Heartfelt Sympathy to the family and friends of Irene Scott, she passed away Friday, Feb. 15.

  I would like to say THANK-YOU to whoever came and left a beautiful teapot on my porch with a wonderful note, its greatly appreciated and I will cherish it. LL
