The Montgomery Quilting Circle is off to a great new year. Their were 9 ladies that recently enjoyed a Winter Quilt Retreat at the Daymoon Art Center, six of the nine ladies stayed overnight and had a "Midnight Shopping Spree" at Cottonwood Quilts. Vermont's first ever quilt Shop-Hop will be held on March 17-19 and March 24-26, You will need a $5. passport to participate, they can be found at most Vermont Quilt shops; there will be sales and prizes. The Circle will meet this Thursday evening March 9 at St.Isadore's Parish Hall at 6:30.

This is the month of School Town Meetings and Montgomery's will be held March 13, 7:30 p.m. at the Elementary School Gym.

The Covered Bridges Garden Club will meet on March 15 at the Public Safety Building at 6:30 p.m. with Sharon Zecchinelli showing her slides of English Gardens while she visited England. Free.

The 50 Week Club winner's were Christine Snider and Lorraine Gillis.

Miss Chloe Hardy arrived on February 13, weighing 6 lbs and 9 oz., her proud parents Luke Hardy and Alissa Scott and little brother Rye have announced. Congratulations!!!

Ralph and Theresa Snider enjoyed the company of her brother Gerald Domina and his daughter Lynn and husband Bill Facto from East Hampton, Mass. this past weekend and John Domina of Franklin and Gila Domina.

Doug and Pearl Tryhorne were honored with a Trustee Emeritus Certificate this Sunday, March 5, for their many years of faithful service to the Montgomery United Methodist Church. Rev. Ed Sorrell pastor of the U.M.C. did the presentation with family and friends present.
