     Keith Sampietro entered the Purity, N.H. sled dog race this past weekend and came in fourth, this being his second race entering.  His granddaughter Brianna Marshall came in first in the junior class division.    They were both very happy with their winnings and Mr. Sampietro is hoping that more people around the area will become involved with the sport.
     The Ladies 500 Card club met at the home of Therese Begnoche, Wednesday afternoon with a few of the ladies missing, Merle VanGieson played for Eva Lumbra, Sally Newton played for Lorraine Gillis,  Carmen Scott ended up with the high score for afternoon, second high to Evelyn Hart, most horses to Sally Newton.  Connie McFarland will have the next meeting at her home on April 15.

      The 50 week club winner’s were Robert Sturgeon and Larry Elkins.

      The Annual Variety Show will be held April 3 and 4 at the Town Hall,  SOOOO, get your acts together  and join in the fun.  The event benfits the Recreational Center..for more info call 326-4581.

      Spc.4 Tyler Elkins has a new title, the Vermont National Guards has promoted him to Sargent.  Congratulations Tyler.!!!

     The Covered Bridges Garden Club met at the Public Safety Building,  3/14, where several members gathered to hear Katrina Trottier presentation of “Pests in your Garden.”  Serving delicious refreshments were Sharon Perry and Sue Wilson. 

     Reminder of the Food Pantry at the United Methodist Church, we have a variety of canned goods and some frozen foods, if you need assistance call Lois at  326-4651.

     The United Methodist Women will be accepting good clean clothing, knicknacks, white elephant items for our upcoming sale scheduled for May 2.  PLEASE NO COMPUTERS OR TV’S, thank-you.

     One last reminder to keep your pooches hitched and therefore they should be safe.  There are deer coming forth to eat in fields where the snow has melted away, and we all love watching them and also the wild turkeys.
