What a bright sunny week this has been, and Spring has sprung, the sap is flowing, the birds are gathering materials to build a nest, and people are raking their lawns. Each year we begin all over again the things we do annually. This time of year I crave for new syrup and it seems I can smell it in the air.

It has been like old home week for me, I had an email from a lady that lives in Boon, Mi. saying that she had read the Montgomery news and wrote to me, identifying herself as Anita Curtis Simmons, she spoke of her relatives that still live here, one being her Aunt Aldea Sylvester. She moved from here in 1953, I wrote back to her and she had attended school with my sister-in-law Bertha.

Then today (3/21) while at the Church helping to unload some Rummage being brought in Robin Skoll Dunton and daughter Taylor stopped by, she was telling her daughter that she had attended church here and was also baptized. We hugged and she continued to tour the church with her daughter. I did not get her address, however I do know that her parents Bobby and Patty Skoll live in Florida.

Trevor and Jodi Walker took their three children and had a great weeks vacation at Indian Rock Beach, Florida, the children enjoyed many rides, playing on the beach, the tour of Bush Gardens was spectacular and fun for all.  Like any vacation its always great to get back home, BUT to more snow??

Friday evening 3/20 the Sunday School Children had a game night at the Church from 6-9 p.m. they all had a fun time but one little fellow said they liked to dance better. Thanks to Joanne Lanphear and Penny Lumbra for hosting these events.

The United Methodist Trustee will meet Sunday 3/29 at the Church 8:30 a.m.
