What a great way to start a new week this Sunday afternoon Sally Newton and I went to the Bakersfield Historical Society where they had sugar-on-snow and great music provided by David and Janice Carr, Mr. Ron West, Butch Howe, Mr. Deyette and Catherine Fortier, We certainly enjoyed the sweets and the toe tapping music.

Easter Sunday guests at the Cabana home were , Mr.& Mrs. Bruce Boyd of Berlin,Vt., Mr.& Mrs. Craig Kidger of Plymouth, N.H., Mr. & Mrs. Randy Boyd , their daughter Miranda of Enfield, Ct. Ruth Quintin, Sara Quintin and friend Matthew Collins of Colchester, Mr.& Mrs. Lyle Richard, Jeremy Richard and son Keenan of Franklin, Melissa Richard of Burlington, Carol Greenwood, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Abell, Susan and Bobby Wyman of Bakersfield, Shirley Paradee of Fairfield, Mr. & Mrs. Wendell Emch Sr., Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Emch & daughters Christie and Kyla, Mr. & Mrs. Allen Myott, Mr. & Mrs. Kevin Elwood and son Fisher & daughter Annabell, all of Enosburg Falls, Marcy Emch, Mr.& Mrs. Dawn Schafer & daughters Amber & Kira of Swanton, We all had a wonderful time, everyone bringing something to share.

Carol Clokey has enjoyed the company of her daughter Pamela Brooks and her 4 youngest children from Maryland, daughter Stacey, her husband and Son Willie and Caleb Maynard of Bakersfield, mother-in-law Hazel Clokey and neighbors Ken & Lisa Greco and girls all enjoyed Easter dinner at her home and Pam and children stayed on for a weeks vacation.

Sally Newton has returned home after accompanying her daughter-in-law Martha Newton for a two week vacation in Australia.

FRANKLIN COUNTY QUILTER'S GUILD Quilt Show, (this is the 10 annual quilt show) it will be held on April 5 starting at 9 a.m.-4p.m. and April 6 starting at 10a-3p.m. Free admission, there will be demo's, silent auction, and more, everyone welcome. There will be quilts from Franklin, Lamoille, Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties and from New York also.

ROAST PORK DINNER, at St. Isadore's Parish Hall on April 13, starting at 11:30 a.m.

50 week club winner's for the past two weeks are Andy Beaulieu, Wolfgang Schadinger, Lisa Cennamo and Linda Sturgeon.
