           The Montgomery Quilting Circle met on 3/12 for their first afternoon meeting at the Public Service Building instead of evenings, where 10 ladies gathered for a fun time of sharing, and welcoming a new member Barbara Bennett from Enosburg.  They already have 12 of their 25 charity quilts made for their 2009 goal. The quilt that they have made for a local resident was exhibited this last week end at the Quilt Show in St. Albans.

     Stanley and Louise Feldman have returned home after spending some enjoyable time with friends in Indialantic, Florida.

     The Blood Drive held Sunday 4/5 at St.Isidore's Parish Hall had 46 people come to donate, we are always so appreciative of our regulars and new donors. The winner's of the prizes were Roberta Cota of Main Stree Cuts, and Stacy Ducolon certificate to Bernie's Restaurant. Thanks to all !!!

     In celebration of National Library Week, April 13-18, the Montgomery Town Library will have free book drawings all week. Come and enter your name to win a free book. There are titles for all ages. Any resident who does not currently have a library card is invited to come in and sign up, free of charge as always, and receive a bag of maple popcorn.

     The winner's of the 50 week club were Bruce Mercy and Romeo Lamore.

     Maundy Thursday Service at the United Methodist Church 4/9 at 6 p.m. Also anyone wanting to put flowers on the altar for Easter Sunday at the United Methodist Church will be welcomed.  Easter Sunrise Service will be held at the home of Penny Lumbra 7 a.m. ( North Hill Road) Breakfast will follow. Easter Worship at 9:30a.m.

     Notice: There will be NO BINGO Friday, April 10 at St.Isidore's Parish Hall.

     Montgomery has been saddened by the sudden death of Roland Baker, he has lived here all his life, and known by so many of us. To his family we extend our Heartfelt Sympathy and our Love.
