The Montgomery Historical Society annually awards a scholarship to a graduating Montgomery high school and or home-schooled student pursuing further studies. Application forms are now available at www.montgomeryvt.us/mhs.htm, then click the "Projects" link. Deadline is May 15th.

Ruth Piangerelli enjoyed her 80th birthday party with family and friends, Ruth now resides in Hyde Park, she lived here in Montgomery for many years and made many friends. Her niece was in charge of all the party arrangements, which was held in Hyde Park, it was fabulous!!!

The Quilting Circle reported only 4 in attendance at the March meeting but with quality members they all had a great time, three charity quilts were shared and this now makes 14. They enjoyed Show and Tell, and Jeannette Sylvester conducted the program with a machine quilting demo on her new Aurora 440. The attendance prize was won by Sue Peter's. The April Program will be basting the quilt for Mike Franklin in preparing for quilting.

The Montgomery Elementary School will have their Spring Concert April 16 starting at 6:30

The Early Childhood Programs staff will hold their screening at the Elem School on May 2 from 12:30 through 2:20 p.m.

The Montgomey United Methodist Women will have their Rummage and Bake Sale on May 10, starting at 8 p.m. we are now accepting clean spring and summer clothing (preferred) we need house hold items, books, toys and we appreciate all your kindness, Thanks!

Also the United Methodist Church has a Food Pantry available for needs in our Community, I (Lois) can be reached at 326-4651 and if someone cannot make it to the Church we have someone that will deliver it to you.

There will be a delicious Roast Pork Dinner at St. Isadore's Parish Hall this Sunday, April 13, starting at 11:30 a.m.
