   It was a cold, windy Easter morning and for all that were all dressed up in new outfits were shivering on their way into Church.   It was so cold that we even held the Sunrise Service  inside at the home of Penny Lumbra’s.   During the morning worship at the United Methodist Church the Sunday School children had baskets of decorated easter eggs that they gave out to all in attendance.

  The K-3 Team would like to announce the following students for March’s Student of the Month Award.  These students are being nominated for demonstrating positive friendship skills and being a good role model with their peers.  Kindergarten: Sawyer Gratton;  Grade l Lydia Brown; Grade 2 Clifford Patterson;  Grade 3 Alex Bimm.  Congratulations !!!!

  On Saturday, April 25 the Garden Club will meet at the Public Safety Building at 1:30 p.m.with Kevin Scheffler and his sons Zach and Luke presenting a hands-on instructional demonstration on the fine art of making “WADDLE GARDEN SUPPORTS AND ORNAMENTATION”.  We welcome newcomer’s at any of our meetings.  Congratulations to Mary Ann Wood, the Federated Garden Club of Vermont held a National Garden Standard Flower Show, Mary Ann was awarded a ribbon of honorable mention for her arrangement.  We have some real artistic people here amongst us in Montgomery.

  Nancy Patch  celebrated her ## birthday with family and friends at Trout River Traders this past weekend, it was just fabulous food, music and so much fun, expressed by friends that went.

  Our heartfelt Sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Stuart Newton and Clare Coy.

  Please join the family of Roland Baker at a graveside service, this Saturday, April 18, 2009 starting at 11 a.m. at the West Hill Cemetery.   

The Elementary School will have their Spring Concert on April 16 starting at 6:30 p.m.


  Teen Night at the town library for students in grades 5-9 are invited to attend Saturday, April 18, from 6:30 -8:30 p.m. Come and enjoy music, dancing, chatting with friends and  delicious snacks, Please bring your MP3 player or CD’s.

  For those who are willing to help clean up the Kaleb Sylvester Memorial Field, can come with
rakes on Sunday, April 19 starting at 9 a.m. for more info call Jim at 326-4020 or Lynn at 326-4976.
