In celebration of Earth Day 2008, you are cordially invited to join the Town Of Montgomery and Governor Douglas, for a ribbon cutting ceremony of the Montgomery Water System, April 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the new Water Treatment Facility on Fuller Bridge Road. It will include: A tree planting, the award of poster contest prizes to Montgomery Junior Gardeners, the ribbon cutting and a "first drink" of water. We hope you can join us.
April 19, The Covered Bridges Garden Club will meet at the home of Jon and Joy Anderson (Degenova) at 66 Sheldon Farm Road, Montgomery Center, (Route 242).(need more info call 326-4308) Jason Emery, certified Maine arbonist and owner of Big Jay Tree Service, will give us a hands-on demo of pruning techniques for fruit trees, deciduous and coniferous trees. Bring him your questions, we welcome newcomers.
The Ladies 500 card club met at the home of Therese Begnoche and she also was high score for the afternoon, the second high was Theresa Lamore, most horses Denise Baker, door prize to sub Elaine Bruckner, other subs were Theresa Snider and Maureen Tryhorn. Linda VanGieson will host the May card club.
Alex Ryan St.Onge arrived to his proud parents Randy and Stacey St.Onge on Tuesday, April 8, he was welcomed by his little brother Thomas and sister Madison, grandparents Arthur and Lorraine St.Onge and Melba Ryea. Congratulations to all !!
On April 10th Joy Bosley honored her mother Pearl Tryhorne with a Birthday cake at her room at Holiday House where family and friends were welcomed.
The Montgomery Rescue Support Team thanks the community for their support at the April 6 blood drive. Special thanks to the 55 potential donors who came out, in particular for their patience during longer than normal wait time, and to Julie Adams Massage and Mountain Fiber Folk. Our next scheduled drive is June 1.
Special Thanks to all that worked on the Roast Pork Dinner at St.Isadore's this past Sunday, a delicious dinner was enjoyed by all who attended, Yummy!!
