I had to look at the calendar to be sure I was writing the third week of April, the months are just flying by. It seems like we just got through Christmas. It has been a beautiful Sunday and Sonny and I have enjoyed being with our daughters Veronica and Penny at Penny’s home with their children, and Veronica’s 4 grandchildren.
Easter dinner guests at the home of Billy Cabana were: Aretta Boyd of Berlin; Mr. & Mrs. Craig Kidger of Plymouth, N.H.; Ruth & Mark Quintin and Mr.& Mrs. Matthew Collins of Colchester; Mr.& Mrs. Lyle Richard of Franklin; Jeremy Richard and son Keenan and Melissa Richard and friend Nick Rueter of Burlington; Mr.& Mrs. Bradley Paradee of Fairfield; Carol Greenwood of Bakersfield; Mr.& Mrs. Wendell Emch Sr.; Mr.& Mrs.Ralph Emch and daughter Kyla; Mr.& Mrs. Allen Myott, Mr.& Mrs.Kevin Elwood and son Fisher and daughter Annabell all of Enosburg Falls, Christie Emch of Swanton and Mr.& Mrs. Mark Churchill of Sheldon.
The ladies 500 card club met at the home of Connie McFarland on April 15 where everyone had a wonderful afternoon the twelve ladies that usually play were all in attendance, no subs. Jeannette Sylvester had high score and Denise Baker was second high and the most horses went to Eva Lumbra. The refreshments served was so delicious keeping with the Easter theme. Carmen Scott will have the May meeting at her home.
There will be two memorial services this weekend 4/25 the first for Clare Coy at the Historical Society (Pratt Hall) starting at 11 a.m.
For those that knew Stuart Newton his Memorial Service will be held at the Georgia United Methodist Church Sat. April 25 at 11 a.m.
The United Methodist Trustee’s will meet this Sunday, April 26 starting at 8:30 a.m. (ALSO reminder of the Rummage and Bake Sale at the United Methodist Church on May 2, starting at 8 a.m.
The Committal Service for Roland Baker held at the West Hill Cemetery on April 18, officiating the service was Deacon Jon Ramey, special music by Ken and Lisa Greco, and special words from friends. Our prayers and love go the the Baker Family during this difficult time.
April 27, HOW TO MAKE LARGE, LUSH, LOW MAINTENANCE GARDENS, 8 p.m. at the Town Library, by Author and landscape designer Robert Gilmore. (FREE) Refreshments, sponsored by the Library. (Keep watch in the Events Section of this paper)
Happy Birthday to Delaney Smith 4/27, Barry Domina 4/30, Mckenzie Mcgovern 5/2.
During the Easter Childrens moments at Church the childrren were being told about the life of Jesus and about the crucifixion and then they were asked, ‘do you remember about Christmas?’ one little child said, Santa Claus. Bless the little children they are so special and honest. God Bless America.
