Well I have heard no complaints of this weather, talking with my sister in Florida this morning our temps have been running about the same daily but night time our temps are much lower.
The Covered Bridges Garden Club met Saturday at the lovely home of Jon and Joy Anderson, with a good attendance. Jason Emery gave a fabulous talk and demo on pruning, the snacks were lovely the Southern breeze kept us cool as we enjoyed sitting on the porch.
The Quilting Circle will meet on Sat. April 26 at the Public Safety Building from 10 a.m.-4p.m.ladies bring your needles, thimbles, lunch, humor and laughter, as we will work on the quilt for Mike Franklin.
Owen and Muriel Hudson have returned home after being away for over 2 months visiting their son Ronnie and family in Nevada, son Wayne and family in Arizona, daughter Sandy and family in Alabama, also we were in California for a short tour.
The 50 week club winners for the past two weeks are Roland Nichols, Nancy Cousino, Christine Snider and Louise Celentano.
The United Methodist Women will be having their Rummage and Bake Sale on May 10, starting at 8 a.m. We are accepting clean Spring and Summer clothing, we are in need of household items, things can be left on the Church Steps at your convenience, United Methodist Church at 60 Fuller Bridge Road, Montgomery Village.
The United Methodist Church has a Food Pantry, we help families in need so no one goes hungry, if someone needs it delivered we can arrange that also. (326-4651)
