Thanks to the 40 people that came to clean-up at the Kaleb Sylvester Memorial Ball Field on Sunday, April 19. It was greatly appreciated and many hands coming together it all was cleaned in no time, LOOKS GREAT!!!
There will be a second annual fund raiser for the Kaleb Memorial Ball Field a “Texas Hold-em Tournament” will be held this Saturday, May 9, starting with registration at 1p.m. and the game starts at 2p.m.. cost will be $50. at the door of the Town Hall or the old Grange Hall as some know it.
If you happen to find yourself over by Derby Line, stop in at the Welcome Center on interstate 91 and see a wide array of Mountain Fiber Folk products in the display case. The members of the Montgomery Co-op were very delighted to be contacted by the Welcome Center to showcase their wares.
MAY 8..Household Hazardous waste collection at the Town Garage starting at 4-7p.m. If you need more info contact the NWSWD for accepted items and fees. (No phone number was given to me.)
MAY 9..The Covered Bridges Garden Club will meet at Pidgeon Hills in Berkshire at noon, their will also be a plant swap while there, SOOOO if you have things that are over growing in your garden, it will be a good time to dig up some and share with the club.
MAY 9..Pratt Hall/ MHS ANNUAL SPRING SPRUCE UP AND PROJECT DAY, starting at 9 a.m., we welcome newcomers/members to come and help, many projects need attention.Info 326-3135
MAY 10..MOTHER’S DAY NATURE WALK, at High Pond Farm at 478 Rossier Road, approx. 2 miles up on Route 58 here in town, with naturalist Debbie Benjamin. No pets please.
MAY 11..You are invited to come to the Town Library for a Book Reading and Signing at 7 p.m. I, Sharon Zecchinelli will be reading parts of my novel “First They Come For The Cows”, an activist story which is historical fiction. Refreshments.
The 50 Week Club winner’s for the past two weeks are Beth O’Brien, Denise Baker, John Boucher and Carol Clokey.Note..There will be no BINGO at St.Isidore's Parish on May 15.
To all that worked and supported the rummage and bake Sale at the United Methodist Church this past Sat. 5/2, we the U.M.W. sincerely thank one and all.
