The Montgomery Quilting Circle's April meeting was attended with 9 members. There were 4 more charity quilts turned in making this 18 completed. Then Show and Tell by Carolyn, then our most helpful hint of the evening came from Linda as she uses a small wallpaper roller to press bias seams as she sews. The Program for the evening was basting the Bear Paw in preparation for quilting. Many hands made the task seem quick and fun. Our next meeting May 8.
Reminder of Elder Night II, May 17th at the Town Hall starting at 4 p.m., Come, hear and participate in your memories of Montgomery, bring pictures to share, this event is sponsored by the Montgomery Historical Society.
David and Tracey Brown enjoyed a few days of rest and relaxation on sunny beaches of Florida.
Jake Webster and wife Michelle Legault have returned from visiting friends in New Orleans where they had a great time.
Reminder of the Rummage and Bake Sale this Saturday, May 10 starting at 8 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Montgomery Village.
Grandpa Kenny Domina annouced the arrival of his new grandson Jay Lee to David and Ashley Domina of Germany, les not forget great grandmother Gila Domina.
HELP, the Montgomery Elementary Children are collecting the Hoods Sox Tops, from Hoods Milk lightblock containers. This program allows schools to earn money by redeeming each cap for 5 cents. We can all save the caps from our milk containers with the little red sox, the program ends October 31, 2008, Sylvesters Markets has kindly offered to have a collection box at their store, maybe we can get a place to collect here in the Village, will keep you posted.
A special Thanks to all that came and played in the Texas Hold-em Tournament and Danced to benefit the Kaleb Sylvester Memorial Ball Field, the double benefit was a real success.
The 50 Week Club winners for the past two weeks were Tony Peters, Armand Landry, Billy Cabana and Diane Bocian.
The United Methodist Congregation was blessed today to have Mr. Sturat Newton come and sing for us, he has just returned from Florida and he was impressed to see so many young children attending Sunday School.
Therese Demar is planning a Rummage Sale for Memorial Day weekend to be held at St.Isadore's Parish Hall things can be left at the steps of the Parish Hall.
