Farmer's Market coming to Montgomery, June 10 through August 19. It will be held at the River Walk Park on Route 118. We are seeking vendors at a cost of $40.00 for the season, all proceeds will benefit the Rec. Beware of the bears that are roaming our area grounds, if you have not taken in your bird feeders, PLEASE DO. There have been many reports of bear coming to bird feeders in search of food, North Hill Road, Green Mountain Road and Fuller Bridge Road.

Have you noticed how nice the Village Park is looking? Two Master Gardeners from the Covered Bridges Garden Club (Carol McGregor and Tiffany Osowiecki) have been working on it.  Anyone who is interested in using or developing their horticultural skills is invited to join them on Tuesday and Thursday evenings around 6 o'clock.  Bring your gloves, any tools you might have and a sense of humor, No experience necessary.

The Covered Bridges Garden Club met with about 50 people in attendance Saturday afternoon at the Town Hall to listen to Sally Laughlin talk about Owls in Vermont. She shared her personal stories of helping owls return from injury back to the wild as well as a great slide show along with audio tapes of owls. It was a remarkable program. Sue Peters and Kay Henderson won the raffle prizes.  A brief business meeting followed refreshments. The June meeting will be held at Marsha Phillips, enjoying our annual picnic & meeting, planting of the barrels and our annual perennial swap. 12 noon.

The United Methodist Women wish to thank the givers, the workers, the buyers, the clean-up crew, and especially Mike Cassidy for taking away all the things that didn't sell at the sale 5/6/06.

The Montgomery Village Cemetery commisioners have agreed on no more disposals of plastics that are removed from monuments, Please take it home with you.  We have got to help keep the cost down and we will need donations to help maintain the mowings. more info call me at 802-326-4651, Thanks!!

Reminder of coming events for May 12 NWSWD household hazardous waste collection at the Town Garage on May 12, time: 4-7p.m.

"Who Was Robert Frost and Who are We?" Geof Hewitt will have informal discussions and readings of Frost poems, at the Pratt Hall on Wednesday, May 17 at 7 p.m.. Free.

POJAZZ, at the Town Library May 20, starting at 4 p.m., come and listen to local trombonist Tony Whedon and musicians.
