Vermont's Kasey Hill named Eagle of the year at Boston College Athletics Department at their annual all-sports banquet, Kasey a native from Montgomery center, track star became BC's first ever female winning Eagle of the year at the Awards banquet on May 2. She compiled a ACC season-high 3,895 points on the day. She went on to capture the heptathlon title at the league's outdoor Championships with a BC-record 5.521 points. She automatically qualified for the NCAA Championship and the Olympics trials. Congratulations Kasey!!

Recently, Armand and Susan Auclair of Montgomery participated in the Men’s and Women’s Catholic Conferences in Boston along with approximately 6000 other Catholics. After listening to various speakers and participating in the Saturday Mass with Cardinal O’Malley, they boarded a bus early the next morning along with 3000 other Catholics from the Boston area and made the trek to Yankee Stadium in New York. There, they participated in the Holy Mass with Pope Benedict XVI as the Celebrant.  Approximately 57000 Catholics were there for this Mass.  Returning to Boston late that same night, they then spent the next day visiting family in Rhode Island.

The United Methodist Women had a very successful Rummage and Bake Sale and we wish to thank everyone for their generosity of giving and for all that came to make purchases. A very special Thanks to Sue Peters, Barbara St.Cyr, Marilyn Baker, Phillipa Coville, for coming and helping out, and for all the baked goods that we received from our supportive community members thanks to all, and our Church ladies THANKS for all your work in making this successful.

The Montgomery Food Pantry welcomes non-perishable food from the community or donations as we are helping others in our community that need a little support now and then, MUMC, P.O. Box 184, Montgomery, Vt. 05470, if you need food call me at 326-4651, if you need it delivered we can make arrangements for that.

Therese Demar is planning a Rummage and Bake Sale for May 31 and June 1, On Saturday there will be a Bake Sale along with the Rummage starting at 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., then on Sunday, 6/1, Rummage only starting at 10:30-4. all at St.Isadore's Parish hall, Montgomery Center, on Route 242. If you have items now please leave at the Parish Hall steps of if raining leave in the handicap ramp at the Church, Thanks.

St.Isadore's Feast Day will be held this Thursday, May 15 at 7 p.m., come and honor the Saint who watches over our Parish, (St,Isadore's Parish, Route 242, Montgomery Ctr., Vermont)
