The Rummage and Bake Sale planned for May 31 and June 1 at St.Isadore's Parish Hall has been cancelled due to another event already planned.
The Ladies 500 Card Club met at the home of Linda VanGieson on 5/14, and once everyone was settled in to play, getting the high score went to Connie McFarland, second high to Betsy Snider also she was a sub for Jennette Sylvester, most horses went to Therese Demar, door prize to Carmen Scott, Lois Lumbra was sub for Lorraine Gillis. On June 4 they will have luncheon at the Snow Shoe and then play cards, hostess Carmen Scott.
The Covered Bridges Garden Club welcomes new members and becoming a member gives benefits, come and find out where you can get discounts for gardens. There are many nice books at the Town Library. Do you have a program that would be interesting to the group? We always welcome new ideas, we have a newsletter that is published six times a year that is filled with what is going on in our group, helpful hints, etc. Our next meeting will be by reservation at Beaver Meadows, Barbara Monty had to know how many to plan on by the 18th which will be to late by the time this is read. Our June meeting will be held at the Rec.Center starting at noon, bring pot-luck and potted perennials or something that you have to much of in your garden to swap with other members or friends.
The 50 Week Club winners for the past two weeks are Susan Berkson, Beth O'Brien, Billy Baker jr., and Bill McFarland.
Montgomery's annual Memorial Day Commemoration will be May 26, starting at 10 a.m..This year we will be at the old Center Cemetery. It will include short remarks by Jon Ramey, Roll Call and Military Honors. Light refreshments will follow, Organized and sponsored by the Montgomery Historical Society.
