   First of all I want to apologize for my error in reporting in last weeks column, I had omitted the date of the Christian Country Singers that are coming to the United Methodist Church on June 6, at 7 p.m. here at 20 Fuller Bridge Road. Refreshments.

  This Sunday May 31 there will be a Blood Drive at St.Isidore's Parish Hall from 10a.m.-3p.m. There will be prize drawings, donations from local merchants that have been given.

   June 6 starting at noon the Covered Bridges Garden Club will have their annual PotLuck at the Recreation Pavillion come bring one of your favorite dishes and share with us.

  The Ladies 500 Card Club met at the home of Carmen Scott on 5/13 for an afternoon of fellowship which the ladies now are going into 40 plus years of getting together once a month. Carmen had the highest score, second high was Theresa Demar, most horses Eva Lumbra, Sally Newton was sub for Jo Cota.  The next meeting will be held on June 10, beginning with a lunch at the Snow-Shoe 11:30 A.M..

  Fourteen ladies of the Green Mountain Ruby Reds enjoyed an evening out at the Federal 1 restaurant in St.Albans and two ladies of the St.Albans group came to join us.

  Michelle Legault has returned from New Orleans where she went to help her family during graduation and other events during the six days she was there May 15-May 21.

  Cordy VonConta attended the graduation exercises of her son Hans Gruenig who received his PHD in Philosophy at Tulane University in New Orleans, La. Cordy and Michelle surprisingly met on a street in New Orleans and neither was aware of one being down there.

  Happy Birthday to Makenna Brooks 6/3. Remember our Veterans, & all our military that have and are keeping us the land of the free, be thankful for all the sacrifices they have made. God Bless America!!!!
