David Wisell of Montgomery wants his friends to know that he placed 27th (out of 2500) overall, and was 10th Vermonter in the Key Bank Vermont City Marathon held in Burlington with a time of 2 hours, 52 minutes and 48 seconds, on May 28. Many Thanks to our area's courteous drivers for giving me space along our roads to train, especially in the worse of weather. (Congratulations David!!)
I accompanied my friend Rachel Wednesday to Burlington as she had to have test done and while waiting I had the pleasure to see Zack, he was coming in for his fitness program. Zack, looked well and said he was doing fine.
The Covered Bridges Garden Club meets on June 10 at the home of Marshia Phillips, gathering 11-11:30 a.m. will start by planting of the barrels, come back to Marshia's for picnic and meeting and end with our perennial swap.
The newly formed "Farmer's Market" opens on June 10 at the Riverwalk Park (across from West Hill Road on route 118) starts at 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
There will be a Community Bar-B-Que at the Elementary School on June 15, at noon.. The 8th grade graduation will be held June 15th at 7 p.m.
Are your children missing any items of clothing, PLEASE have them check the lost and found items at school.
Reminder to parents..that there are many camps being offered to your children, check with Ruth at the School office for forms.
Note.. Arthur St.Onge has put the water on at the Village Cemetery for the convenience of those that have planted flowers. (Our appreciation and thanks) LL
The 50 week club winners were Anita Paradis and Jeannette Sylvester.
Get Well wishes to all our community friends that are recuperating from surgery, or any medical problems that have got you under the weather.
