The Montgomery Historical Society will open its 18th Season of Concerts By The Common with the "Stockwell Brothers" performing for us on Saturday, July 8 at 8 p.m. at the Grange Hall in Montgomery Center.

The Ladies 500 Card Club met at Sno Shoe restaurant for their June meeting with a luncheon at noontime, the high score for the afternoon went to Evelyn Hart, second high to Jo Cota, most horses to Connie McFarland, door prize was won by Eva Lumbra, the July meeting will be at the home of Carmen Scott.

A special thank-you to the Elementary School cooks and helpers that provided the bar-b-que on Thursday, July 15 for the Community citizens. Congratulations to all the 8th graders that will be leaving the Elementary School and going to high school of their choice.

Ten ladies of the Green Mountain Ruby Reds gathered with 200 other Red Hatters of Vermont for a fun-filled weekend in Newport, it was fabulous!!

Cordy VonConta and Family gathered this weekend for a memorial service for her mother Martha Kennedy.  The service was held at the United Methodist Church and the Black Lantern Inn accomodated the family while here.

The 50 week club winners were Marsha Phillips and Erin St.Onge.

Its always wonderful to see faces of ones that have moved away and this past week a surprise visit from Mr. and Mrs. Don McGowan and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Spraggett.

We extend heart felt Sympathy to Owen Hudson and family in the loss of his brother Charlie.
