Peter and Ruth Godfrey proudly announce the marriage of their daughter Julie to Rob Sweet on June 13. They were married at the Highgate Field Days, with Pastor Lyle Willey officiating. It was a beautiful sunny day! Julie works at UVM in research and Rob works at Barry Callebaut. They will make their home in Swanton. Congratulations!!
The Montgomery Historical Society is celebrating it's 35th anniversary this year and has two exhibits on display at Pratt Hall, one on Montgomery's own Marion Towle and her painting on fabric, and the other on the manufacture of packing cases in Montgomery Center at the Nelson and Hall mill. They've also published a guide to the stained glass windows of Pratt Hall that serves as a self guided tour of these beautiful windows. The Hall will be open on many weekends throughout the summer from 1-3p.m, just look for the "Open" flag and walk in. FREE. You can also arrange an opening by appointment by calling any Board Member.
The Red Barn Studio has opened for the season, at 37 Fuller Bridge Road, Mrs. Domina will hang the flag out when its open and or will open by appointment. Michael Domina will be having his watercolor workshops in July, August and September..dates to be announced.
Eight members of the Green Mountain Ruby Reds and three guests of Queen Betty Moquin went to a luncheon in Morrisville at Stone Grill (Old Charlemont) and then went shopping, upon their return home Queen Betty invited the ladies to join her at her home for ice cream and treats to end the day.
The 50 week club winner's were Lisa Baker and Linda Olio.
Judy Harlowe from Salisbury, Mass. is here to visit a dear friend Terry Zartarian.
Norton & Sis Reed celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at their home on Enosburg Mountain Road with their family and many friends attending Sat. June 27. Congratulations and Best Wishes for many more wonderful years.
Pastor Ed Sorrell will have his first knee operation June 29 and we will keep him in prayer and for those wishing to send him a card ( 186 Nottingham Dr., Milton, Vt. 05468) Thanks.
