The Elementary School PTCO is collecting milk caps in a HOOD Sox Tops for Kids program. Caps will be collected until October 2006. HOMEWORK CLUB starts Tuesday, Sept. 19, will meet mornings this year. Students will sign up the previous day for the morning sessions which will begin Tuesday - Friday from 8 - 8:30 a.m. in addition to Tues. , Wed. and Thurs. afternoons from 3-4 p.m.
About 65 people enjoyed the Gypsy Jazz and Brazilian inspired music of the Will Patton Ensemble at Pratt Hall on 9/2. The Historical Society has already received requests to have them back next year! The final "Concert By The Common" performance is Oct. 7, being "Envision Chamber Consort". Chairman Scott Perry and the MHS Board wishes to THANK all the individual and business sponsors for making another successful season possible.
Ralph and Theresa Snider enjoyed the company of her brother Cedric and wife Jeannette Domina from East Hampton, Mass. over the Labor Day weekend.
The Neary Family came from Mass. and Vt. to enjoy their annual get-together at the farm on North Hill, joining cousins were Sonny, Lois, Penny Lumbra and her son David Newton.
The descendants of Fred and Tanilla Mayhew came together for their reunion at St. Isadore's Parish Hall on Sunday, Sept. 3. (Sorry could not reach anyone for more details for this column)
The winner's of the 50 week club for the past two weeks were Bob Sturgeon Ralph Snider, Denise Baker and Kathy Dandurand.
The United Methodist Sunday School will start their new season 9/10 with a "Kick-Off Party" on the Village Park. (During Church Service 9a.m.)
The Covered Bridges Garden Club will meet on Sept. 13 at the Public Safety Building Conference Room, How to Dry/Freeze/Tincture Herbs, by Deb Landauer, come and bring a friend, 6:30p.m.
