     Congratulations to the newly weds, Matt Silva and Sara Betts exchanged vows Saturday 8/6 at Pratt Hall with Betty Hoss, Justice of Peace officiating the service.

     The children and grandchildren of Charlie and Pat Carpenter gave them an early 50th anniversary party at their camp on Hill West Road last Saturday afternoon 8/31. Their actual date is Dec.20, but the weather is never co-operative that time of year, so while the weather was permissible 117 family members and friends gathered to celebrate this great event.

     Pam Chaffee from N.H. and sister Shelly Lawliss from Mass. were here in town over the weekend, Pam attended the wedding of Matt and Sara, while here they stayed with cousin Penny Lumbra, and visited Uncle Sonny and Aunt Lois Lumbra.

     Are you getting ready for the "ARTS FOR THE PARK DINNER AND AUCTION" scheduled for September 27 at the Grange Hall, they need donations of art for the sale and for more info call Kathy at 326-4581. This is a great fun filled evening for everyone.

     Sept. 28 the Red Cross Blood Drive to be held at St. Isadore's Parish Hall. (10 a.m.- 2 p.m.)

     The 50 week club winner's were Linda Cluba and Lyndol Elkins jr.

     Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to Linda O'Connell and family in the loss of her daughter Marcy Jane.
