MONTGOMERY RESCUE, Forms New First Responder Team, at our August meeting, current members of CERT's voted to leave the CERT organization and join Montgomery Rescue to help form a new First Responder Team. They will be trained to respond to small and large-scale emergencies in the Community. Other new members are welcome. Orientation and training for the new team begins Monday, September 18, at the Public Safety Building. Contact Barry Domina at 326-4390 for more info or attend the orientation, which begins at 7 p.m.
"ARTS FOR THE PARKS DINNER AND AUCTION" will be held Saturday, September 23rd, at the Grange Hall in Montgomery Center. Doors open at 5 for viewing and dinner at 6, the cost is $15. and BYOB, dinner tickets sell out quickly so make reservations early by calling Kathy at 326-4581, or if you want to donate art call Kathy. Auction to follow after dinner, benefits the Recreation Center.
MONTGOMERY VARIETY SHOW is scheduled for October 13 and 14, if you would like to take part get your act together and call one of these numbers leave a message 933-8561 or 326-3130. Benefits the Rec.Center.
QUILTFEST 2006, will be held September 23, 10-4, hosted by the North Country Quilters at 222 Main Street, Newport, Vt.
