     I have received word and to let our reading audience know that the Annual Variety Show usually held in October has been cancelled until next Spring when a new date will be announced.

     The United Methodist Women will have their Fall Rummage and Bake Sale on October 11 starting at 8 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, 20 Fuller Bridge Road.

     The Ladies 500 Card Club was held Wednesday 9/10 with Jo Cota as our hostess, held at their camp, where we were blessed with a panaramic view of all the mountains facing South, it was breath taking and then to be entertained by a wild critter. Therese Demar ended up with high score, Theresa Lamore second high and Jeannette Sylvester had most horses. The afternoon ended with dessert freshly made and warm from the oven carrot or chocolate zucchini cake. The October play will be at St.Isadore's Parish hall with Therese Demar as hostess.

     Thanks to everyone who attended the 50 Week Club dinner and dance Saturday night at the Dairy Center, winner's of $25. were Gary Snider, Lois Chauvin, Evelyn Hart, Scott Baker; $50. Bill McFarland, Mark Brouillette, Ron Sylvester, Lisa Greco; $100. Kevin Plouff, Doris Buttendorf; $250. Randy St.Onge, Susie Deuso; $500. Lynda Cluba: 50/50 raffle went to Fred Kennett & St.Isadore's Parish $250. each; winner's of 3 free next years tickets went to Charlotte Mercy, Caroline Elkins & Armand Landry; six beautiful Seiko watches donated by Pete and Lynn Locher went to Eric Rivers, Beatrice Longe, Mack Bolog, Alan Cennamo, Joan Ramey and Mary Roy; the beautiful blanket donated by Armand Auclair went to Roland Nichols.  As always Lise Gates had a delicious meal and wonderful waitresses, toe-tapping music making for a wonderful evening.

     School News: Homework club will meet Tuesdays-Friday mornings starting at 8a.m.-8:30 and afternoons on Tuesday, Wed and Thursday 3 p.m. - 3:45. There will be an OPEN HOUSE at the School on Tuesday, Sept. 23 @ 6:30 p.m.. Also while you are there sign up for the 2nd Annual Family Dinner scheduled for September 30.

     Lee Farrar was a winner of attending a Red Sox Game at Fenway Park in Boston, he and Jeff Donna attended the game this month, Lee said I put my name on a drawing at Buck's Furniture while there with a friend and was surprised when he received word that he was a winner.
