We, John, Penny & David Newton, Andre' & Veronica DeSaintPhalle, all left early 9/26 on a cool frosty morning headed to Derry, N.H.. We arrived at our son Frank and Karen's home, where Dale and Pat had also gathered around 1:30 p.m, where our children had planned a Special 50th Anniversary party for us. We were aware of the party but were so surprised of how very special they made it. The house was decorated and delicious snacks were made for us as we all arrived hungry. As we all gathered later to have dinner around the candlelit table, a delicious dinner of ribs, bar-b-qued chicken and salads were served, and while around the table we shared 25 things about Dad and 25 of Mom. There was so much laughter and tears doing this for over an hour. Our daughter Veronica then presented us with an Album of pictures that she had worked hard to get from family and friends, memories of the past 50 years, Just a masterpiece, its wonderful. The day went on and on and we were surprised later down in Frank's bar with a beautiful 50th anniversary cake. The music was of our era and we danced, ate cake and later I had taken all the cards we had received and we opened them up while sitting around the table.  Penny celebrated her birthday on 9/25 and her brothers surprised her with a special song and cake.  It was absolutely a gorgeous weekend that will always be cherished and remembered, Sonny & I are so fortunate to have such wonderful loving children, we are truly blessed, absent was son Richard & April.
