     What beautiful foliage we have been blessed with this year, the reds are so brilliant and as the sun sets in the evening and shines on the trees it displays the colors with all their beauty.  There have been many people here this Fall taking pictures of our covered bridges, and remarking how lucky we are to have them.

     Congratulations to Brian and Rebecca Sylvester of Waterford, Me. on the birth of their son Joseph Emery, born Oct. 4, weighing  9 lbs 3 oz. at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Me.  Paternal grand-parents Leonard and Mary Sylvester of Enosburg.  

     Congratulations to Jay Kerch and John Perkins, Phineas Swann Innkeepers, have been awarded the Vermont Hospitality Councils 2009 Inn Keeper’s of the year award.  The Council is a part of the Vermont Chamber of  Commerce.

     The United Methodist Women want to Thank everyone for their giving to the recent rummage and bake sale, IT WAS APPRECIATED AND IT WAS SUCCESSFUL.  We are blessed to have the generosity and kindness of  friends come and help sort, baked goods, help clean up after.  Mike Cassidy has been a real blessing to us in the past few years to come and take all the things that we did not sell and we truly thank him for taking it all away each time of our sales, but Mike has announced that he and his family have taken for the last time.  We also have come to the conclusion it is getting to be a bit much for us also, SOOO, all good things come to an end sooner or later.  Thanks and God Bless !!!

     Heartfelt Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Bud Demar from all his many friends here in town.

     Elias Elkins had his first birthday party at the home of his parents Tyler and Connie, grandmother Veronica DeSaintPhalle, Grand father Rocky and wife Lori Elkins, Great grandparents Sonny & Lois Lumbra, Great Aunt Penny Lumbra, Aunt Samantha Royer and special friends.

     The 50 Week Club winner’s for the past two weeks have been Diane Bocian, Billy Cabana, Mrs. Phillip Snider, and Stuart Hammond.

     There will be a PPRC meeting following the Church Service this Sunday, Oct. 18.

     Reminder of the Turkey Dinner this coming Sunday, Oct. 18 at St.Isidore’s Parish Hall starting at 11:30 a.m.  (see ad for more info)
