On October 20th, eight members of the Green Mountain Ruby Reds enjoyed a wonderful day in Jeffersonville, where they ate lunch, went on to Cambridge and walked through the corn maze, from there to Jericho where they went to a museum and to the Snowflake chocolates, for a delicious treat, back to Cambridge where they had coffee and a little snack before returning home. It was just an easy relaxing day for all of us.
The Covered Bridges Garden Club gathered on October 21 at the Public Safety Building where 25 or so members came to hear the presentation from Olga Lermontov of Raven Ridge Farm in Enosburg. It was very interesting she said “it’s all in the dirt. what we take out we have to put back in.” There was a discussion on composting and the importance of all the nutrients that come from composting. There were
many helpful hints that were passed on to all. We all had a wonderful time and thought her presentation was very educational. The meeting ended with everyone enjoying delicious refreshments.
