Warmest and heartfelt congratulations to Deacon Jon Ramey of St. Isadore's Parish, on the occasion of his 25th anniversary of ordination to the diaconate. Jon was ordained to the diaconate on the feast of All Saints, November 1, 1981 by His Excellency, Bishop John A Marshall at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Burlington, Vt. Deacon Jon and devoted wife Joan occupy the rectory next to St. Isadore's Church and look after the needs of the Church, their home and activity hall. Jon and Joan are proud parents of their children Lara Ramey Thomas wife of Patrick Thomas, Scott Ramey, and Cindy Ramey - McGovern wife of Jeff McGovern, and twins James and Stephen Ramey. They are proud grandparents of Julia and Norah Thomas and Mackenzi, Annabeth and Colin McGovern.

For the last two weeks the 50 Week Club winners were Beverly Purrier and Felix Snider, Loren Williams and John Boucher.

Its sad when the weather does not co-operate with the many activities that are planned for this time of year, the Pumpkin Lighting held at the River Walk Park went on as planned but with only a few people coming out in the howling wind and snow/rain squalls. Thanks to all that organize this event as I have attended in years pass and its a wonderful fellowship with all the lit jack-o-lanterns and kids all enjoying their hot cider and donuts.

The St. Isadore's Parish Hall became the meeting place for the Candlelight Vigil that had been planned for Tommy Patras and Valerie Papillo at the Recreation Center new Pavilion on Saturday, Oct. 28. There were over 100 family and friends that gathered for this special honoring, remembering and dedication in their memories.

The Rental Shop at Jay Peak is selling used equipment beginning Nov. 6. Boot and Ski packages will be available for a special price, interested check it out.

To my family and friends I sincerely thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the wonderful Birthday messages whether it was a phone call, a beautiful card, email message, or verbal as we met, everyone was special, Thanks!!! (LL)
