     Give Thanks, give hope and give blood this Thanksgiving holiday season, on Sunday, November 22, there will be a BLOOD DRIVE held at St.Isidore’s Parish Hall, on Route 242, time:  10a.m. – 3 p.m.  We are seeking new donors, as blood in needed for the holidays that we are facing.   All donors will receive a free “Thanks For Giving” shirt, and they can enter a free drawing to win prizes from Sylvester’s Market and Trout River Traders.  Sponsored by the Montgomery Rescue.

     Congratulations to our Town’s young hunter’s Tyler Barnes age 9, Gavin Baker age 10, Nick Jewett age 11,  Hazen Cota age 11 and Jared Baker age 15, they each got a deer during the past weekend designated for our youth.  Then Owen Joyal, grandson of Charlie and Pat Carpenter got his first deer also.

     Happy hunters that got their buck the first weekend of the hunt were Al Gratton, David Tanner, Cedric Lanphear, Ronald Lowell and Stephen Jewett.

     Terry Zartarian has enjoyed the company of her dear Friend Judy Marlowe of Mass. for a few days.

     Need a Christmas Gift?  The Montgomery Historical Society has two great deals for the upcoming holidays.  Their stained glass notecards make beautiful Christmas cards to send or give as a gift.  They are also offering Limited Edition prints of Pratt Hall from the original water color by local artist Michael Domina.  There will be just 100 of these 10x14 inch prints produced, they will be numbered and signed by Michael.  If interested  call Scott at 326-3135. 

     Jeannette Sylvester spent last weekend caring for her grandson’s Parker and Gary Dunn in Shelburne, Vt.  

     Theresa Begnoche , Lise Gates, Lesha Rasco and daughter Emery, Irissa Plouff have returned home after spending a few days in Jupiter, Florida where they attended the 80th birthday of Ralph Demers, and enjoyed some family time.

     The Ladies 500 card club met at the home of Theresa Begnoche 11/11 for an afternoon of good hands for some and not so good for others, high score went to Eva Lumbra, second high to Theresa Begnoche and most horses to Linda VanGieson.  The December gathering will be a fun time and all subs are welcome to come have lunch, exchange of gifts, held at the SnowShoe starting at 11 a.m. on 12/9. 

     The 50 Week Club winner’s were Heidi Wetherby and Colin Wood.
