What excitement moose tracks brought to the Village this week. Huge tracks came into the pool at St.onge’s back yard, and broke the liner, the moose managed to get out by itself, walked all around the fence line to the main road, and crossed in front of our house onto Jimbo’s lawn, and headed out back of the houses, and was not seen by anyone here in the Village. Kenny Domina out for his morning walk to get his coffee noticed the tracks first of all and brought it to my attention and thats all we needed to get the word around, telephone, telegraph and tellawoman that is fast getting the news out. It seemed unbelieveable to some but the tracks were there for proof. That makes twice I’ve been told that a moose was in front of my house, once Jamie Buttendorf came down off North Hill to work and one was standing right in front of my house. The big moose I mentioned a couple weeks ago that was on Black Falls property was sick and had to be put down by the law, it was a huge bull moose.
Saturday was a special time at the United Methodist Church the Community Baptist Church and one person from St. Isidore’s stepped in to help also. There were 35-40 dinners delivered in the community giving Thanks to our many senior citizens and some shut-ins. This is our second year of doing this and our first year with the Community Baptist Church. There were many volunteers that came forth to help deliver the meals so everyone had a hot meal. Maggie Elkins helped out by cooking a turkey and making gravy for us as one of our people got sick. A very Special Thanks to all for making this successful.
