Its Sunday evening as I start out my column, deer season for 2006 has come to an end, and several hunters in the area have bagged some nice deer during this season. Im not aware of the largest one winning the buck pool, but whoever it is congratulations!

The Forester's 500 Card games are completed for 2006, our last game was played Sunday eve and the high score went to Therese Demar, 2nd high to Billy Cabana and 3rd high to Lois Lumbra, most horses to Jeannette Sylvester winning a draw with Connie McFarland. The evening was full of laughter and great fellowship as we enjoyed refreshments made by our hostess Eva Lumbra.

Its getting close to Christmas and there are many events and parties in the making and just a reminder of a few.

The annual "Carols and Candles" celebration will be on Sunday, December 17th at 5 p.m. at Pratt Hall.  Come and join the annual community sing along, storytelling, dance exhibit, and a few surprises. FREE, sponsored by the Historical Society. Refreshments and fellowship to follow the program.

The Sunday School class of the United Methodist Church will have their Christmas Pagent on Sunday, December 17 at the 9a.m. Worship Service. All Welcome!

The United Methodist Church will have their regular 9 a.m Worship Service on December 24 and a special Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 5 p.m..

The Community Baptist Church will have their Christmas Eve Service at 7 p.m.

Congratulations to Elle Purrier daughter of Charles and Annie Purrier of Montgomery Center and Karen Josephenson Baker wife of Allen Baker here in town, they were baptized at the United Methodist Church on Sunday, Dec. 10, officiated by Pastor Ed Sorrell.

Micah, new born son made his debut on Tuesday, December 5, proud parents Jacob and Mary Niles-Rascusin of Black Falls Road, Congratulations to all!!

This 50 week club winners were Ken Cota and Sandi Murphy.
