Ken called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m.

  Nancy Avery reviewed the AOT decision not to lower the speed limit near the school, indicated they would be changing the signage relevant to the Rec Center, and indicated their agreement to support the change at the intersection of Routes 118 and 242 to a three way stop controlled by signs.  She discussed the State solution and then led a reivew of the proposed plan at the site.  She noted this intersection met the State criteria due to traffic safety needs, and noted that stop signs are not a speed control device.  Further, if speeding was the princple town concern the Town should enforce the existing speed limits.  The Board agreed to discuss the matter further at it's next regularly scheduled Board meeting and provide an answer promptly.
