Looking out my front door windows, the trees are now of beautiful reds and yellows and sun is trying to shine, had clouds all day so far. Our Church rummage and bake sale was a big success and thanks to all the wonderful people that have donated nice things and for all that came to make purchases. We have a lot of nice clothes left. therefore we are going to have another sale on October 22, from 8 -11 a.m. (Clothes Only, At The United Methodist Church)
This past week has brought people in town to enjoy the beautiful foliage and our covered bridges. On my way to the post-office this week, a couple was here from New Zealand, I talked with them for a few minutes, then I have met people from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. We can be so proud of our little Village as its so beautiful year around.
A Special Thanks to all the donors that came to our recent Blood Drive 10/2, 26 units of blood were collected. The next Blood Drive will be held at St. Isidore’s Parish Hall on December 4, 10 a.m.-2p.m. Thanks to all the volunteers that come and give of their time for this life-saving event.
Tom and Mary Jane Poore are here from Pa. visiting their daughter Kathy and hubby David Howell, and enjoying their grandchildren. Mary Jane said this is one of the most beautiful and warm October’s we’ve had in years. I certainly can agree to that!!
10/02, Ingrid Florence Presler daughter of Titus and Michelle Schaap Presler was baptized ato 10 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Enosburg. Her paternal grandparents Jane and Titus Presler preached and celebrated the service, respectively. They were also the Godparents along with her maternal grandparents Wayne and Laurel Schaap here from Chicago. Also present was her
Uncle Timothy from New York City, and the happy company of the congregation.
Wild animals on the loose, 25 turkeys were seen in the Village Cemetery by Lorraine St.Onge this week, I saw several up there a week ago. Maggie Elkins saw a bear going into the woods as she was coming home from Church 10/1, near the swamp area going to the Center. Then a few local hunter’s have got bear, Gaston Begnoche, Randy Jewett, Daniell Beaupre and Tim Howard.
