4/2..As I finish up this column the clouds are starting to roll in. It has been such a beautiful afternoon, up to 50 degree’s at 3 p.m. and the snow is melting away. Penny and I went for a short walk with Willee our little dog, the day was warm enough so he would like going with us. The trucks that are gathering sap up on Black Falls Road have been busy today. I hear through the grapevine that there has been lots of syrup made this year. YUMMY!!!
3/28.. My sister-in-law Roberta Martin and daughter Pamela Harris came and had dinner with Sonny and me. We sat around the dinner table after and had a nice visit. Pamela has been visiting her parents and while here as helped shovel SNOW!! She will be heading back home to S. Carolina on 4/5. She certainly got to see some snow this year. Been incredible hasn’t it?
3/30..Seven members of the “Quilting Circle” met at the home of Jeannette Sylvester’s in St.Albans; after a long winter recess to re-establish the goals for the year. Their goal of 25 Sunshine quilts is being worked on with three quilts completed. After a lengthy discussion catching up on everyone, we worked on the Parkinson’s Quilt and the Dresden Plate raffle quilt for St. Isidores. ShowNtell was interesting with Susan Smolinsky and Jeannette presented what they have been working on. Jeannette also served many delicious snacks that keeps quilters coming back for more.
