3/4.. I am a little late getting my news column completed. Sonny, Penny and I went down to visit his sister Betty Courville who is at the Northwestern Medical Hospital recovering from Surgery. She is doing well and will be there for a few more days. (May your hospital stay be short and filled with constant love and support).
Updates on our local people; Jay Adams has gone to be with his daughter in Craftsbury, Vt. and he is doing much better. In hopes of returning home later this Spring. Gloria Longe once out of Rehab will be going to stay with a family member. Rachel Robitaille is doing much better, she left the hospital and recuperating at St.Albans Health and Rehab, hoping to go home this week. She has had lots of love and support from her Family and Friends. Marilyn Baker has been in and out of the hospital this past week and a Dr. at Copley Hospital in Morrisville diagnosed her feet problems as gout. That is miserable and painful. Hope all you listed will continue to stay on the road to recovery and get better. (We’re sorry you have been under the weather, we hope you will be feeling sunny again real soon).
2/27.. I enjoyed a girls day out, with daughters Veronica DeSaintPhalle from Johnson and Penny from town. Veronica and I went shopping while Penny got her hair trimmed, then we went over to call on Great Grandmother Shirley Jacobs. She just became a Great Grandmother and SO VERY PROUD of her little Great Granddaughter. We sat with Shirley around her dining table and reminisced for awhile and then we all went down town to the House of Pizza and ordered a big pizza and enjoyed every bite and continued to have a great time. Our families have been wonderful friends for over 50 years. My husband Sonny and Roger were in the National Guards and that is where they became good friends. Veronica and I went from the Pizza place over to visit with my Brother Bud and his wife Roberta as she was celebrating her birthday with two of their daughters, Priscilla Hammond from Burlington and Pamela Harris is here from So Carolina for a visit. There we had birthday cake and ice cream and wonderful fellowship. Veronica , Priscilla and Pamela were so excited to see one another and they took pictures of each other and laughed at some of the funny pictures they can make of themselves. We all had an exceptional day. We all agreed we should do it more often. P.S. Veronica took several pictures of the ice that remained on the fields at Boston Post Bridge area. She could hardly believe her eyes, the amount of ice, she wanted her husband to see by taking pictures for him.
2/20-28..Therese Begnoche and niece Lise Gates have returned from Jupiter, Florida. They went down to celebrate the 85th Birthday of Cecile Demers, Lise mother and Therese Sister. They spent seven days down there with Family and Friends. They met up with several cousins from Canada, and one cousin he and his wife Therese had never met. That was a nice evening out with thirteen all going to eat and reminisce. We also had a wonderful time with Lise grandchildren, her twin daughters had help make a Mickey Mouse cake and we all went to the Play Park to enjoy our picnic. We can’t forget the fun time at the beach, all-in-all it was such a terrific time. Coming home we had delays at the airports as the Nor’east storm was coming up the coast. But here we are back safe and sound.
