This is a hot day for me and enjoying staying inside with the doors closed and the fan going and its so nice and comfortable. It’s 97 degrees as I start this column, with the sun peeking through the haze and my husband said hotter than H e L L. Several have talked about the thunderstorm we got in the night a long toward morning actually. We haven’t had much for thunder storms in the past few years according to my husband, for me, there has been plenty. Not my type of weather, I think I feel like my small dog as soon as I hear the thunder I want to run and hide. I guess we are in for a few more days of this, Hazy, Hot, and Humid. ( I was asked by Scott Perry would I go down and shut the water off for him at the MHS as they had the outside water on watering the new garden and as I was heading toward the water a little bird was there taking a bath as the water was dripping down. It was enjoying the coolness of the water, I’M Sure!!!)
Michelle Legault was in town for a few days with her parents Maurice and Paulette Legault cleaning out the barn across the street from me. She gave me several items for our Fall Church sale. Michelle and Jake Webster make their home in Louisiana and just love it there as there are so many things going on to keep life interesting.
I think I have been missing some of the good news that has been happening here in town. I have been told of two new births. On June 11 a daughter Ellis Tyler to Roy McAllister and Kristen Baker. June 20 a son Wyatt Stanley to Avery and Megan Stanley. Congratulations to you folks and your new little ones.

After a healthy lunch and showNtell the ladies were busy finishing up a quilt that had been donated to the group. They have 16 sunshine quilts completed of their goal of 25. There were members missing due to the summer holidays and family company.
Friday night, June 29 the Montgomery Historical Society held their Annual Meeting. The Society remains active with the second Annual Farmer’s Market ongoing; a new Heritage Garden and many other activities. They would love to see more members joining. Their Joe and Irene Scott Scholarship winner was Kyla Perry. She read her essay on how growing up in Montgomery affected her life. It discussed how living in a small town had big rewards. She will be attending the University of Vermont in the Fall. (Good Luck and Congratulations Kyla). ( I would like to made a comment on the Heritage Garden, What I have witnessed so far its going to be absolutely beautiful, I love it.)
