It has been a nice mild weather this past week and had a sizeable snow storm on Saturday morning. Just what the ski areas need. I enjoyed getting out and shoveling. The temp was nice to be outside. Sonny and I accompanied my brother Bud and Roberta Martin to call on our brother in Berlin, Vt. We got to visit with him and his family, our sister-in-law from New Haven, Vt. and her son Harrison and granddaughter Joan. On our way down we couldn’t help but notice there was more snow down that way. We were on bare ground here in Montgomery, but not anymore.

It has been another week of nice weather. Watched the Inauguration Friday. I hope and pray things will all come together. It’s sad to see what has been going on. Enough said that’s just my opinion.
1/14, Brenda E.Ostrout was given a surprise 70th Birthday Party at her son’s home in Milton. The party was planned by her son Carl and wife Peggy Root and daughter Donna Corron who makes her home in N.Y. Brenda was taken away earlier in the day to give the family time to decorate the house before Brenda’s return. The family parked their cars away from the house so Brenda would not suspect a thing. Upon her return home everyone was inside to SURPRISE her and that they did, she was in tears. In attendance were her brothers from town Lyndol and Lila Elkins, Frank and Linda Elkins, (Brother Rocky did not attend as he has been sick); sister Charlotte Parent from Enosburg, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and close friends. What a wonderful time was enjoyed by everyone.
1/16, Linda Carpenter and son Cole returned home after 11 wonderful days vacationing with her sister Carol Ann Berecz and children, from Ct. They enjoyed the beach of St.Croix.
