I’m up early brightly shining with the rising sun. What a gorgeous Sunday morning, and the birds are always happily chirping up in the trees, the robins busy gathering worms for their babies. The other day while digging out the weeds on our pathway into the house, a baby bird starting making a noise for the first time. Now only a few days later they are squawking. Yesterday was the first Farmer’s Market at the M.H.Society Lawn and there was a good turnout, not a rush but someone was coming and going most the morning. Our daughter Veronica DeSaintPhalle from Johnson came with her jewelry that she skillfully makes. Frank Elkins came by to give her help unloading her car, as she has so many things to set up. She had a great day!! She plans to come once a month. I think everyone was doing well, the Pizza smells filled the air throughout the Village and they were selling well and very delicious. The little animals to pet were a delight for both adults and children, 2 little lamb, 2 baby pigs and a Hereford calf.
5/24.. The Committal Service for Gaston Begnoche was held at St. Isidore’s Cemetery with Father Charbonneau officiating the service. Family and Friends came from Florida, Montana and Canada to attend. Therese had everyone at her home following the service, her niece Lise Gates provided the luncheon for the Family and Friends.
5/27..The Committal Service for Ronnie Sylvester was held at St.Isidore’s Cemetery with Rev. Hahr officiating the Service, with Family and Friends in attendance.
5/24. & 27.. Jim and Ruth Smith came to visit her mother Gila Domina this week to offer help where needed. Gila is getting ready to plant a garden, and Jim helps with the roto-tilling.
5/27..People’s Prom was held with many people coming from afar to attend this annual event. I remember my nieces coming year after year to attend from Massachusetts. It’s a wonderful evening of fun and getting together with friends you might see only once a year.

**I think most people find it ironic that the colors red, white and blue stands for freedom until they are flashing behind you.*** I hope everyone had a safe Memorial Weekend with their Families and got out to celebrate the day by attending a parade or event that honored our MILITARY that have bravely fought to keep us the Land Of The Free and The Home Of The Brave. God Bless!!! M.LT.A.
